Howard Dean on Grassroots

Howard Dean has written an op-ed piece about grassroots organizing, something I think the Democratic party is in desperate need of. It can be found at Truthout.org and here.

Grassroots organizing is the only way Democrats are going to get back in touch with the American people, remind them that the Democrats really are on their side. Dean has some great ideas. I really hope he is elected chair of the DNC.

Democrats online

The Senate Democrats have a brand new website. www.democrats.gov. This is a great site. Now we can see what the agenda is for the Senate Dems and give them direct feedback on issues that we care about.

We need to hold them accountable for supporting issues that affect we everyday Americans. We need to let them know which issues we support and which we don't. Perhaps if we let them know what we think, they will have the confidence (read: backbone) stand up to the president and Senate republicans on important issues. We cannot allow them to slack again. They are currently the only viable alternative to the extremists on the other side of the aisle and we need them to stand up for us!

Check it out.
